St. Vincent Matriculation School begins its Silver Year
Snehalayam community celebrated the feast of our Patron St. Vincent de Paul in a grand manner at Muthukulam, a sub-station of AMSAM parish, Trichy. The parishioners welcomed sisters with a traditional arathi to the Eucharistic celebration. Sister Saroj Visuvasam SCN shared with the congregation gathered the charism, mission and ministries of SCNs. In the evening the village headmen and few people were invited for the feast day celebration which began with the prayer followed by a sharing on the tireless services of our sisters in various parts of India, Nepal, Belize, USA and Africa. The village headmen have promised their assistance to our ministries. The community created a forum this day to begin SCNA program.
Earlier in the month on September 1, 2017, St. Vincent Matriculation School celebrated the inaugural function of its silver jubilee. Pioneers of this mission, SCNs Bridget Kappalumakal and Mary Stella Ambrose graced the occasion with their valuable presence. They recalled their initial struggle and expressed their happiness over the progress they saw now after 24 years. A logo for the year was released by them and the school family has chosen as theme for the year “ENRICHED TO BE ENLIGHTENED”. The school fraternity will strive to actualize the theme through many activities in the coming months.
