Executive Committee Meetings Day 5

As pioneer women we are challenged each day to keep growing with a deep sense of accountability that is the true mark of leadership.

As the Executive Committee entered the final day of meetings in Bangalore, India, the accountability reports on Vision and Directives were a large part of the morning’s agenda. The responses from the Central Leadership Team and the Province Leadership Teams revealed the variety of ways that the SCNs are being faithful to the General Assembly calls.

SCN Ann Palatty, Provincial of the Bangalore Province, who chaired the day’s sessions, called the members to discuss Global Exchange, United Nations planning for 2017, and other matters requiring a follow-up and/or decision.

After lunch, members took time to discuss the calendar of events, and then in an atmosphere of prayerful reflection, reviewed the entire meeting in the context of the Community and the larger world.

In spite of the long day of meetings, the members gathered after supper to be connected by Zoom videoconference with Livia Pollett and Anita Knott at Nazareth, Kentucky, for the finance reports for SCN, Inc. and NLBI respectively.

SCN Tonya Severin, Vice Provincial of the Western Province, who led a very creative morning prayer, also conducted the evening prayer which ended in a lively dance.

We stand, in gratitude for God’s gifts.
We stand, in awe of God’s wonders.
We stand; ready to carry on the good works.
