The Executive Committee and the Extended Council meeting are underway in Ranchi, India. On this fourth day, meetings began with a contemplative morning prayer led by SCNs Sangeeta Ayithamattam and Basanti Lakra. The prayer included the following reflection – “I shall make my body a lamp …… for the service of God …… to find everywhere, Christ.”

The group had a packed schedule. Anupa Moozha, SCN,presented the Eastern Province budget and the audit. After presenting the Integration Committee report, Marlene Lehmkuhl, SCN, reported on the Ministry Fund Committee and its recommendations.

Next, the group reviewed the Charity Federation report and Brenda Gonzales, SCN, gave an update on the Global Exchange program. In the afternoon, the group further discussed ‘Emerging Trends,’ a discussion that first surfaced on the second day of meetings.

A highlight of the day, gathering as a group to congratulate Alice Teresa Woods, SCN, on her 75th Jubillee. Those gathered in Ranchi, the EC and Extended Council together with the Candidates, Pre-Novices and the Sisters greeted Sister Alice and her family who were celebrating at Nazareth, Ky. This joyous celebration took via Skype.

Back in Ranchi, the EC and Extended Council hosted dinner for members of the Congregation. The meal included a variety of Indian cuisines. Servant Leadership was felt through out the evening as SCN leaders served food and drinks and waited on Candidates, Pre-Novices and Sisters.
