As we approach Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday we are reminded of the call to die to all that is not life-giving in our lives so that we might rise to New Life in Christ. In the spirit of the season, may we let go of anything that might weigh down our souls so that we might bear witness to the power of Christ’s resurrection at work within us. We are also reminded during the Triduum of Jesus’ selfless service of others, symbolized by his washing of his disciples’ feet and in his laying down his life for us. We recall as well his challenge to his disciples to do as he has done. In our daily lives and in our ministries may we keep our eyes open to the myriad ways that others are burdened and may we commit ourselves to extending Easter Joy to them as well. May this Easter fi nd each of us embracing New Life and finding new and creative ways of extending New Life in Christ to others.
