Earth Day 2017

SCNA Eugenie Coakley, her husband Joe, friend Deb, Tess Browne, SCN, and her friend Carol Katz joined thousands on the Boston Common to rally for science. They celebrated advances in science which benefit humankind and they sought protection of vital contributions being made and researched to further life on earth, on the planet, “our common home” (Pope Francis). A shout out also to hundreds who gathered in Lexington, Kentucky, in the pouring rain; and to the hundreds of rallies and marches worldwide. Read more.

Tomorrow, April 29, around the country, the Peoples Climate Movement will be hosting rallies, marches, Teach-Ins, and here in Boston, an Interfaith Service. The Teach-Ins connect various efforts and issues and will focus on the intersections of climate with jobs, with economic inequality, with racism, with immigration, and with health.
