Rebecca Miles, SCN, the first director of this ministry, shared a brief history of the organization. Denise Ruffra shared her experience as a volunteer. Zorayda Diaz, Juan Martinez and their daughter and son spoke of what Doors to Hope means to them. Jasmine Martinez said that Doors to Hope brings her family together and expressed gratitude for “the doors that Doors to Hope” has opened for her family through tutoring and English as a Second Language classes.

Those gathered were there invited to a reception featuring an anniversary cake, fruit and cheeses, and homemade tapas. Music by Liana Ibershoff & Friends and Osmani from Salsa All Stars entertained the crowd.
