Disaster Relief Team Update – Durant, Mississippi

Sister Luke sent the following update:

The SCN Disaster Relief Volunteers arrived in Kosciusko, MS, 17 miles from Durant, on Monday evening to settle in, relax and have a prayer for the night.

Tuesday morning, we signed in at the Volunteer Center in Durant. We were given our tasks for the next two-three days.

Today we helped Ms Betty, who lives in Durant. She was thrilled to have our help since trees fell in her yard and on her electrical lines. The power company needs her yard cleared so they can start replacing the wiring to her home.

The people here are delightful and most appreciative. Ms Betty said that we “are an answer to prayer and she is ever so grateful.”

Please continue your prayers for the volunteers and all who have been affected by the storms. View more photos here.
