CHI
Memorial Foundation hosted a Tea with Leigh Anne Tuohy on July 25. Leigh Anne
was the inspiration for the movie The Blind Side, which chronicles how Leigh Anne
and the Tuohys opened their doors and hearts to Michael Oher, an illiterate and
homeless African American teen. The Tuohy’s have dedicated their lives
inspiring hope and genuine acts of generosity for under-served members of our
communities.

Judy
Raley, SCN, attended the event and met Leigh Anne. Sister Judy said it was a
fun event. She watched the movie The Blind Side again after meeting her. Sister Judy said the movie became even more interesting after talking with Leigh Anne.

Leigh
Anne was in Chattanooga for the SHE Exposition for Women. She was unveiling her
new book of devotions called “Turn Around: Reach out, Give back, and Get
Moving.”
