Sisters Frances Krumpelman and Susan Gatz participated in a pilgrimage sponsored by Catholic Health Initiatives that featured the charism, history, and ministries of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. The pilgrimage took place in Baltimore and Emmitsburg. Sister Frances gave a presentation on SCN history, especially as it related to health care ministry. The participants expressed much gratitude for the information and the inspiration they received from her talk. Later the group toured the grounds and buildings at Emmitsburg including the shrine to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. The pilgrimage concluded with the blessing of a tulip poplar tree planted for both congregations honoring their contributions to CHI and their service to the church and the world.
