A Charity Alive gathering for young adults was held Memorial Day weekend at Nazareth, Kentucky. Time together focused on the person and charism of Vincent DePaul and Catherine Spalding. A Parisian cafe was the setting for the encounter with Vincent and a pioneer atmosphere was the backdrop for an interview with Catherine. Participants also interviewed Sisters from the Motherhouse on how Vincent and Catherine inspired them on their journey in religious life. Prayer was woven throughout the weekend which culminated with a prayer service at St.Thomas Church, in Bardstown, Kentucky. See more photos here.
I am always impressed by the young people who form the Charity Alive group. They renew one’s hope for the future. It is now, however, that they are being so joy-filled, industrious, bright and beautiful…… We older people enjoy their coming, their service, their depth of character and their friendliness. What smiles they show and generate from us! Thanks to them and to their leaders.
