God live in us and among us
So be happy, smile and fully alive at all times!

Around 700 hundred people including persons from neighborhood parishes benefitted from a three-day charismatic retreat organized at Bewa parish in Jamtara from September 1-3, 2017. The retreat preacher Reverend Dinny, a Vincentian priest from Vincentian Ashram, Dumka stressed the importance of Eucharist, personal prayer, daily family prayer, sacrament of reconciliation and adoration of Blessed Sacrament to receive graces and blessings in our personal lives. He invited the people for a personal conversion of heart and mind by obeying the Ten Commandments faithfully. He emphasized the importance of giving God the first place in our lives, that place which is not given to anyone or any other things. The participants were very attentive to his messages from 8.00 am to 5.00 p.m.

When we take one step God takes ten steps. Mr.Vijay Xalxo and his wife Professor Neelam Kujur have been sponsoring the expenses of the retreat three years consecutively to spread the word of God. Our parishioners and other people also were generous in giving their share with cash and kind to feed the participants who came for the retreat. Surely the fruit of the retreat will be seen and will live in the hearts of the people.

Jamtara SCNs Amala Valayathil, Rashmi Toppo, and Veronica Soren actively helped out with the retreat. They thank the Sisters, novices and the candidates who were praying for them.

Jamtara area has a very few Catholics mostly Santhals and Bengalis and the working people from Ranchi area. The retreat got such a publicity that it was featured in the local Hindi paper.
