A lovely new statue of Jesus is the focal point of the Healing Garden outside Christ the Healer Chapel at Memorial Hospital Hixson. In the Catholic tradition, a blessing of the statue was held on Thursday, June 30. “To bless is not so much to ‘make sacred’ as it is to acknowledge the sacredness that is already there,” said Sister Eileen Wrobleski, C.S.C, senior vice president of Mission Integration. “The statue serves as a constant reminder of who we are and how we are called to carry on the healing ministry the way Jesus, himself, so beautifully taught us to do.”

Jerry McCrary, Sister Eileen Wrobleski, C.S.C, Cindy Carroll, Sister Celine Osbourn, SCN, and Deb Moore were joined by many associates who attended the blessing.
