Judy Raley, SCN, participated in the blessing and dedication of CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia on Feb. 6. This event marked the extension of the mission of CHI Memorial to a hospital, surgery and cancer center in North Georgia.

Larry Schumacher, CEO of CHI Memorial, recognized the legacy of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth who responded to the need for healthcare in the Chattanooga area some 65 years ago. Through the years CHI memorial has built upon the legacy of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and sought to create new relationships and partnerships through ministry. In remembering this rich history, we also celebrate the new chapter of healing that’s beginning at CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia.

Sister Judy presented the four core values which guide ministry at CHI Memorial – reverence, integrity, compassion and excellence – as banners of each were brought forward. She also thanked each person present as they took a healing stone as a reminder of our sacred work from the water used in the blessing by Archbishop Wilton Gregory, of Atlanta.
