Twenty-eight students and two faculty members from Lieven’s High school from in Belgium had a half-day interaction with the 45 Premashray children on Jan. 5, 2018. These students were on a learning exposure program in Jharkhand. They conducted and taught some games and action songs to our children. Through an interpreter, the foreign students talked with the children which made both groups happy. Enriched with the time they spent with our children, they distributed educational materials and sweets to each child.

Every year, Rev. Chetan, IMS, the initiator of Premashray, brings Belgium students to such exposure programs. Mary Basanti Besra, SCN, is the superintendent of Premashray. This ministry is in collaboration with Father Chetan to rescue the trafficked, run-away and abandoned children. Premashray is a home for the children before reuniting them with their families. It can accommodate fifty children. Each day, the police bring many rescued children from the railway station, streets of Ranchi and occasionally from the metropolitan cities of India.
