As the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth celebrate the 200th anniversary of their first schools, the Congregation has just published a children’s chapter book on the life of the Congregation’s foundress, Mother Catherine Spalding, written by Grace Saia, SCN. The rollout of “Catherine Spalding 1793-1858: Woman of Kentucky” will take place on Saturday, January 18, in the Drawing Room at Nazareth from 3-4:30 p.m. All are invited to come hear about the writing of the chapter book for children and have your book signed by the author and enjoy some refreshments. Sister Grace will also be having a book signing at St. Joseph School cafeteria in Bardstown on Sunday, January 19 at 10:15 a.m., this time before a group of 100 students at St. Joseph. Both events are open to the public.
