Nazareth Vidya Niketan Middle School and High School had their Annual Day Celebration with pomp and vigour on Nov. 8, 2014. It was an auspicious day for the whole school. The Chief Guest for this function was Mrs. Mukti Rani Singh, the District Education Officer of Chatra. The Guests of Honour were Dr. Iftekhar Alam the ex principal of Chatra College, Anila Monippallikalayil, SCN, the principal of Nazareth School, Joel Urumpil, SCN, Chetna Bharti Chatra.The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by invoking God’s name. The guests were honored with gifts. Srs. Rasmi and Mary Grace, the principals, creatively presented the school report through a slideshow presentation. There were several cultural dances like Punjabi, Nepali, Marathi, and Nagpuri. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to display their talents. The parents were delighted with the students’ performance. The students of high school enacted a drama on “Namak ka Daroga” in Hindi. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to display their talents. There were about 500 parents who cheered the performances of the students. Dr. Iftekhar Alam spoke on this occasion and gave an inspiring message which everyone was eager to listen. He spoke spontaneously with much enthusiasm to the parents, staff and students. He encouraged and appreciated the presentation of the students and the staff. The school has developed in all levels up to the modern means of education. It is working towards the overall development of the students. We thank the management, staff and students of this school for their tireless and tremendous efforts for making the Annual Day a happy and memorable one.
