The game of Cricket brings together a group of young Muslim men who live in the slums of Delhi, India. From this union, these young men continue with educational and empowerment programs administered by Sister Ann Moyalan, SCN, that help them and those around them lead a better quality of life.
Sister Ann describes the way that participating on the cricket team has transformed the lives of these young men — they now have confidence and see how they can be leaders in their community. They currently use a home-made bat and ball — your simple gift of a bat or ball can go long way in recognizing the giftedness of these young men and furthering the empowerment programs in Delhi.
