REFLECTION

“Behold, the days are coming, declares Yahweh, when I will raise up for the house of David a righteous branch, who will reign as a true ruler and act wisely, and do what is just and right in the land.” Jer. 23:5

The prophet Jeremiah assures us of a leader to govern with justice and righteousness. This promise is fulfilled when God calls Mary to give birth to the Messiah, Jesus, who is truly our justice.

At Matrdham Ashram, Varanasi, I witnessed hundreds of Christbhaktas (friends of Jesus). Jesus truly alive-GOD WITH US/Emmanuel, in the living testimonies they gave to thousands of people belonging to other faiths. Their thirst for justice, peace and fullness of life is fulfilled in encountering Jesus in the listening of the WORD, worshipping, living and witnessing to it.

PRAYER

Spend some silent contemplative moments realizing: GOD WITH US, healing, providing what we need, and bringing about justice, hope, joy and peace. Deepen my faith O God.

PERSONAL CHALLENGE

Do I experience the Divine GOD WITH US in all circumstances of my life?

Today’s Advent reflection is by Amelia Moras, SCN, Mokama, India.
