Migrant Workers Ministry (Anakkampoil, Kerala)

There are 4 million migrant workers in Kerala in southern India. They mostly come from the northern states of India for employment opportunities. Many work in construction, plywood, timber, textile factories, restaurants and shops. Their living conditions are often very poor, leading to health problems.

Sister Gracy helps migrant workers register for labor cards so they can receive training and secure a steady job, enabling them to care for their families, become integrated in the society and live a life of dignity.

Donations help provide:

  • Health awareness programs
  • Legal assistance
  • Cultural activities
  • Assistance with registering for labor cards
  • Advocacy for support of human rights
