Nazareth Academy/Junior College/College Alum Reunion
September 21 – 23, 2012

Greetings from Nazareth! Everyone who attended and/or graduated from the Nazareth Academy/Junior College/College, Nazareth “Country” Campus, is invited to celebrate your time at Nazareth by attending the Alum Reunion scheduled for the weekend of September 21-23, 2012.

There will be a wine & cheese gathering on Friday evening, continental breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings, box lunches, photography sessions, liturgy, formal dinner and program on Saturday, opportunities to visit classmates and Sisters, tours of the campus and on Sunday morning, the blessing/dedication of the Alum plaque.

You will also have the opportunity to view Nazareth memorabilia throughout the weekend. Should you have a special memento you wish to share with others, please complete a memorabilia form for each item you bring to share.

There will also be items you may purchase as mementos from the weekend: four-seasons of Nazareth framed picture, note cards, JourneyCrafts jewelry, and 3-D wood cut-out of St. Vincent Church and Motherhouse. Checks and/or cash will be accepted.

Please complete the registration form by indicating which activities/events you will be participating in throughout the weekend; please return no later than July 15, 2012. The costs associated with each activity/event are noted on the registration form.

Also, you will find a tentative schedule for the Alum Reunion Weekend.

You will also find another copy of the Biographical Information Sheet. If you have not yet completed and returned your biographical information sheet, please complete and return the enclosed blue form with your registration for the Alum Reunion Weekend.

For your convenience, we have provided another copy of the information on the block of rooms that have been reserved at both the Hampton Inn and Comfort Inn in Bardstown, Ky. Please make your reservations directly with the hotels for your overnight accommodations and use the reservation code for each hotel to insure that you will receive the discounted rate. If accommodations are not available in Bardstown, please see the additional listing of hotels available in Elizabethtown, Ky., Shepherdsville, Ky., and/or Mt. Washington, Ky.

For those of you who have made arrangements for accommodations on the Nazareth Campus throughout the weekend, there is a separate form included with this mailing, indicating the location of your on-campus accommodations. There is a $25.00 cost per night. Payment for on-campus accommodations must be submitted with this form. Please attach this form to your registration form for the weekend.

A plaque, honoring the rich legacy of Nazareth Academy and Nazareth College, will be placed on the campus just outside of O’Connell Hall. This will be a gift from the alums to the Congregation. If you would like to make a donation to support this effort, please return the enclosed self-addressed envelope with your gift by June 15, 2012. Please make all checks payable to the “Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.” The final design of the plaque is contingent upon the total amount of donations received to cover the costs. This will determine if we can purchase the proposed design of the plaque or have the plaque designed with the “words only.”

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Annette at (502) 648-4293 or Marilyn at (502) 491-0336.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you, “Naz girls!”

The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth have been involved in education since its founding. Today, SCNs continue to teach in every country where we minister.

It is so encouraging to hear from former students... to hear stories about families, careers, and dreams. We search for ways to reconnect with former students in order to honor the SCN-student relationship.

If you would like to stay updated with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, we would be happy to send you The Journey, our newsletter which is published several times a year. Just send us your name and address by completing our Alumni form below. Please give us an update on yourself, and we'll be sure to share it with a Sister who taught you.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Yes, I would like to receive The Journey by mail.
